The best appreciation of the Company’s activities
is the customer satisfied with our services, therefore the
Company seeks continuously for direct contacts with the
services consumers. For efficient solution of the problems,
for fast damages and break-downs repair, dispatch
and emergency services of the company operate twentyfour
hours. In 2005, the dispatcher service of the Company
has registered 8368 phone calls, the emergency
water supply system repair team has been called 3000
times, i.e. 8.2 times per day, and the emergency service
for sewage system – 4143 times, or the average – 11.4
times per day. The damages were removed efficiently
and water supply, thanks to a cross-feeding system was
not stopped.
In 2005, 18.5 mill. m³ of cold water was sold to
residents, i.e. by 2.7 % more than in 2004. The increase
in revenue for cold water sales was caused by connection
of new residential houses to water supply and sewage
systems, overtake of Grigiškës water supply and
sewage systems and direct agreements for cold water
purchase and sewage management with the owners of
apartament houses, etc. The amount of water supplied
to apartaments, according to inlet cold water meters,
amounted to 21.8 mill.m³. Howaver, the readings of cold
water supply measured by inlet water meters differ from these in the meters in the flats. Though the losses in
apartament houses, if compared to the year 2004 decreased
by 3.5%, these still make 4.5 mill.m³, or 14.4%
of the total drinking water sales. The losses appear as a
result of old interior water mains and improper operation,
old counters in the flats, different preciseness
classes of the meters in the flats and the inlet water
meters, mechanical impact on the water meters, and
not all the inhabitants declare water consumption honestly
and in due time. One of the essential measures for
reduction of losses is consumers’ control and improvement
of water meters in flats.
About 15% of flats were checked in 2005 in Vilnius.
The checks revealed that 539 owners of the flats did not
declare 40.1 thous. m³ of cold water. In 2005, the Company
introduced a new program for accounting of cold
water consumption in apartament houses and for calculation
of bills for cold water consumed. The target of
the program is the establishment of the control of payments
for the services rendered in apartament houses.
In 2004 – 2005, the Company took over the accounting
of payments for the water supplied and sewage collection
and treatment from 21 teritorial administrating units
of apartament houses and other enterprises. In the future,
the payments for a cold water supply and sewage
management will be overtaken from the communities
with which the direct accounting for the services rendered
are not yet concluded.
In 2005 there have been concluded 67 thous. contracts
for direct cold water purchase-sales and sewage
collection and treatment with the owners of flats in
apartament houses.
In 2005 consumers‘ debt to the Company decreased
by 0.6 mill. LTL, or by 4.4%.
